I AM

I am bendable.

a glow stick amongst wood,

present yet diminishing,

snap me.

Witness the words disperse,

beams of hesitance yet boldness.

I am the crackle of a hearty fire,

the pop of abused bubble gum,

the silence of a stuffed mouth,

           I am flexible.

I can be the apple of your eye,

or maybe the caramel stuck between your teeth,

            I am still.

Wood amongst glow sticks,

diminishing with no presence,

snap me.

Witness the ants inch onto your skin

beams of confusion and fright

I am

the heartiness of a crackling fire

the abused

bubblegum popped between your lips

the untouched.

I am pliable

between the folds of your unmerciful hands,

I snap.

And for once,

the air is filled with nihility.

I am,

no longer.
