My name is Lincey Violette Bazile, and I am a first-generation Haitian American writer.

 There is no intricate reasoning behind this blog. I simply just wanted a personalized space where my writing could be accessed by anyone.

I got tired of dwindling my poetry and thought pieces into 24 hour long Instagram stories (I will never forget my roots), so I created Lincey Speaks as permanent documentation of the many words I have to share.

I personally believe that writing, alike many different forms of art, holds the power to develop beautiful communities, friendships, and connections—and whether you relate to me and are here to stay, stopping for a quick read, or just passing by, I hope you take as many of my words as desired on your own journey.
